What it is and where it's used
The 1746-ITB16 is an Allen-Bradley i/o module from the SLC 500 range. Typical applications: Fast sensor inputs, counting and registration. The manufacturer no longer sells this part new (discontinued 2024), which is why it is sourced from surplus stock elsewhere in Europe.
What to check before ordering
- Check sinking input type
- Processor series and OS series (for example SLC 5/04 OS402), because they affect programming software support
- Chassis slot count and power supply rating against the loaded modules
- Whether the module is fitted with a battery or memory module and what is stored on it
